Downloadable Files

For those of you who would like to download the saga files for use at home or office, rather than through the Web, we have made the text and TACT versions of the files available for download. These files are available at our FTP site at

ftp://server.fhp.uoregon.edu/Norse/.

You may also select one of the options below for shortcuts to the downloadable files.

The text files are in ISO-8859-1 character set encoding, also referred to as ISO Latin-1, which is the standard encoding for Web documents. This character set is the default character set used in MS-Windows (but not MS-DOS). If there is enough demand, we will also make MacOS versions available. For MS-DOS and Unix users, we may also make available files encoded with Berkeley Convention. Please let us know what your needs are!

These files are provided with the permission of the publisher of the text for private or academic use only. Please do not distribute these files without the publisher's consent.
